Sarah earned a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a member of the Tri-Beta Honor and Golden Key Society, and received a Scholar in Residence Award. While working on her Master's degree, Sarah was a part of the Acupuncture Association of Oriental Medicine, interned under two acupuncture and herbalists and worked in a pharmacy of Chinese herbs. She is board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), in both acupuncture and herbology, which allows her to practice in 43 states, including Missouri and Kansas. Sarah’s path to Chinese Medicine began during her undergrad studies when she became interested in Tai ji and served as secretary of UTC’s Martial Arts Club. She traveled to China twice, and became intrigued with Chinese Medicine. After working in biotechnology for several years, she moved to Boulder, CO to pursue her interests. After completing the graduate program and national board exams, she moved to Kansas City to be closer to her family and to share her passion for Chinese Medicine with the community.
